FoSS

110 years (plus) of education in Stillington. What a fantastic event. It was lovely to see so many familiar faces from the village. A huge thank you to Liz Cole for organising the main talk & resources.

Believing and Achieving Together

Fun in The Snow!

At present, the children are grouped by age into two classes:
  • Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 (Infants)
  • Key Stage 2 (Juniors)
The school day starts at 9am and for Infants ends at 3.15pm, for Juniors it ends at 3.30pm.

The Foundation Stage, Year 1 and Year 2 children have a double Portacabin base with purpose built facilities for young children. Children in the Foundation Stage have daily access to a large outdoor area, with a built in sand-pit, various ride-on toys, together with lots of other equipment to cater for all the areas of learning.

We make the most of having a mixed aged classes, encouraging the older children to act as role models for the younger ones.

Each classroom, including the Reception base, has an interactive white board enabling the children to use ICT regularly across the curriculum.  This is supported by laptops in each of the main classrooms.  The Junior classroom within school has recently been decorated contributing to a calming working environment.
